June Frida Friday ATX will be our hottest Friday EVER. Come ready to dance, shop, and see what all the magic is about. This month we feature and all-girl vinyl spinning line up with Chulita Vinyl Club, and DJ Mahealani, 20+ WOC artists, makers, and clothing curators (from across Texas), a raffle benefiting Lilith Fund, delicious food from our amazing host Kebabalicious, and, as always, a free family friendly event to make community in!

We are crushing HARD on our all girl vinyl spinning line up. Chulita Vinyl Club was launched in December 2014 as an all-girl all-vinyl club for self-identifying womxn of color in the context of providing a space for empowerment and togetherness. CVC stands united as a female DJ collective spanning 7 national chapters bringing together a community of vinyl loving girls. DJ Mahealani is our in-house audio alchemyst, creating soundscapes to shake our booties and lifting our spirits every second Friday. This combination will be EVERYTHING.

Entering our fourth month, #fridafridayatx at kebabalicious is a unique opportunity to support local alternative economies, celebrate women* artists & women led initiatives, and shop a carefully curated line up of amazing art shops. This month we’re featuring over 20 shops by WOC makers, curators and designers from across Texas!

Frida Kahlo was a Mexican artist who created powerful visual work that spoke to and celebrated her own Latinidad and diasporic identity, including her struggles with pregnancy & fertility. We are proud to benefit women-centered community orgs each month at Frida Friday. June’s Friday Friday ATX will be raising funds for The Lilith Fund for Reproductive Equity. Lilith Fund, founded in 2001, funds abortion and advocates for change through the movement for reproductive justice, assisting people in Texas in exercising their fundamental right to abortion by removing barriers to access. Lilith Fund also engages in local and statewide movement-building, organizing, and policy advocacy work in order to create systemic change. Lilith Fund is a women of color-led organization.
